The EYE filmmuseum asked students from AKV|St.Joost to make small teasers for their Filmgerelateerd Collecties (film related collections) from the EYE archive. I chose to make a teaser about their Devices collection, that integrates pre-cinema devices. I mean, what can be more fascinating than these machines that leaded us to cinema as we know it now? I show four devices by letting a bird (originally from a thaumatrope) visit them.
